SEA-WATCHING at ABERYSTWYTH

Seen from the lounge, Gannets and Manx Shearwaters have been passing south in small numbers throughout the day. A number of Gannets and Kittewakes have been feeding offshore, especially in the morning.
As the wind strengthened, by early evening there was a noticeable movement of Manx Shearwaters close in followed by two Arctic Skuas (one dark, one pale phase), also heading south and just beyond the breaking waves.
