Mostly Med Guls

A run down the coast to see if the summer build-up of Mediterranean Gulls had begun was rewarded with 17.  Originally on the point at Llansantffraed, they later flew onto the beach right in front of me at the car park near Plas Morfa, Llanon.
Mostly adults in breeding plumage, one of them had a green ring, which I was able to read:  ANZT.  This bird was ringed near Arnhem, Netherlands, in June 2013, seen near Ghent, Belgium in April 2015 and at Aberystwyth in August 2015 (per 2015 Ceredigion Bird Report)
A couple of waders seen from the beach car park at Llanrhystud.  A Redshank on the beach near the caravan site and a Bar-tailed Godwit. I could see a distant medium-large wader at Llansantffraed point and was about to set off in that direction when it took off and very obligingly flew north, right past me; barwit in winter plumage.
