YNYSLAS and the CLETTWR

It was almost Wigeonless early this morning so I turned my attention to the sea-ward side to watch the huge numbers of gulls, predominantly Herring Gulls along the shore near the point and at the sea-ward end of the north shore and offshore at feeding frenzies.
2 Gannets were present and later 53 came powering in from the south, almost all together. 55 in December is pretty good.
I then joined Russell back at the Leri side. A few more Wigeon but not the one we hoped for so I went off to the Clettwr for good views of a Dipper and a Water Pipit and a glimpse of a Jack Snipe which I managed not to stand on.
